Urban Dread's first gig was in July of 1988 at Sergio's Cantina in Westlake Village, CA.  Since then, the band has seen several different line-ups with core founding members Jahson and Kristafari keeping the vision alive.  Below are some images of Urban Dread's history.

     One of the greatest Urban Dread members was Ras Cimaroon from Panama. He could sing his ass off and play some mean percussion. Cimaroon was an Urban Dread member from 1/91 to 5/95.

     Our first true Lead Guitarist was the great Calvin Banks. He could burn like Jimi Hendrix while singing like a bird. Calvin was in Urban Dread from 6/89 to 9/92.
